August 2015 Part 2

It's no secret that I love supporting small businesses.  I was selected to participate in a shirt exchange called The Traveling Sweatshirt by Imperishable Clothing Co.  I took a quick picture one day of me in my sweatshirt with some mugs from another small business who just happens to be a few miles from here, Linen + Ink.

Emma has been taking swim lessons in a town between here and Honolulu.  After swim lessons, we've been going on little adventures.  We made our first visit to the Ward Shopping Village and Emma got to meet Felix at one of the cool little shops at Ward Warehouse.

Bryan had to go to Korea for work and before we picked him up at the airport, we checked out the Made In Hawaii festival.  The highlight of the pit stop for Marlie and Emma was meeting Ronald McDonald for the first time and get some mini soft serve cones.

It didn't take us long to find "our" beach here.  This spot is very close to our house and not crowded at all.  We love that we can make a quick trip up the road to hang out at the beach for a couple of hours.

I participated in a mug swap for the first time.  I was randomly assigned someone to send a mug to and I included some Hawaiian goodies.  I also received a box with some fun things for me.

We just had a little bit of free family time one day and headed back to our favorite beach.  We made a stop by the North Shore food trucks on the way and I got some garlic ship from Giovanni's.
