The Truth About Waiting

Last week I jokingly posted this on Facebook:

We're currently in one of the most frustrating seasons a military family goes through - waiting on an assignment.  This time seems to be one of the worst because the whole process started back in the fall and we will probably move in 4 months.  We're watching our friends find out where they will be moving this summer, but the members of Bryan's program are still waiting.  It's very frustrating and stressful to not know yet what the future has in store for us.  While I posted that picture above as a joke,   there are some things I do know to be true.

I am currently studying the book of John along with She Reads Truth.  Last week we read John 5:17:

Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working."

The day after I read John 5, I read John 6 and the devotional that went with it spoke to me again:

"Sisters, in the midst of our own unknowns and 'what if's', God doesn't ask us to calculate His success rate or take matters into our own hands.  He simply wants us to come hungry."

Even though we're in this period of waiting and not actually seeing anything happening, I know that God is working.  We have a certain assignment that we are praying for, but I know that God is going to put us where we need to be.  His plan is better than what we think we want or need.  He will always get it right.
