Revolving Door

I have so many posts that are in progress in my head right now, but I just haven't found the time to type them out.  Our neighbors have joked that our house lately has been a revolving door of children and I totally agree.
Last Monday we received a call asking if we could take a little boy that night for the rest of the week.  We said yes to him with the condition that he had to leave by Friday afternoon because we had already committed to taking a little girl for the weekend.  Sure enough, he left around 1pm on Friday and she arrived around 4pm!

We were EXHAUSTED by the end of the weekend but the kids were both sweet and I'm glad we could love on them for a short time.

Hopefully I can catch up on a few posts while things are calm{ish} around here!

Stitch Fix #9

My next box is on it's way so I'm racing to get Fix #9 posted first.
I was pleased that I got 5 clothing items in this shipment and no accessories.

It's no secret that I'm a sucker for cardigans, but this one just didn't do it for me.
Addison Striped Knit Cardigan by 41Hawthorn

This was the most disappointing piece in my fix because I got a VERY similar jacket last month.

I considered keeping this top but decided against it in the end.

I really liked this dress but I usually only wear dresses to church on Sunday so I decided it would be more practical for me to keep something else that I would get more use out of.

This was the keeper from Fix #9.  I don't have any other green shirts and this is a nice
basic top that I should be able to get plenty of wear out of.

Every month I look forward to receiving my 'Fix' of clothes that were picked specifically for me.

Sausage Cheese Squares

This is one of our breakfast favorites.  It's one of my go to dishes when I need to take breakfast or brunch to a function.  Marlie isn't a big breakfast eater, but when I make this she always asks for seconds or even thirds!  The picture doesn't look like much, but give it a try.  I bet you'll be glad you did!

Sausage & Cheese Squares
2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
2 lbs breakfast sausage
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 8oz pkgs cream cheese

Brown & crumble sausage, then drain.
Remove sausage from pan and melt cream cheese in pan.
Fold in sausage.
In a greased 13x9 inch baking dish, place one can of rolls in bottom and press seams together.
Add the sausage & cream cheese mixture on top of the flattened crescent rolls.
Next sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly on top of the mixture.
Finally add the 2nd can of rolls on top of cheese and press the seams together.

Bake at about 375 for about 25 minutes.
